Horizontal Hole Openers, also known as HDD Reamers, play a vital role in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations by enlarging pilot holes underground. HDD is utilized when traditional trenching and excavation methods are impractical, offering a steerable, trenchless technique for drilling beneath the surface.

Operational Stages:

1. Initially, a small diameter pilot hole is drilled.
2. Subsequently, the hole is enlarged using an HDD Reamer, Rock Reamer, or Hole Opener with a larger cutting tool.
3. Finally, the casing pipe or other products are inserted into the expanded hole.

Designed for large diameter HDD projects requiring extended downhole life, the Rock Reamer with replaceable cutters boasts a robust structure. Enhanced bearings and cutters significantly increase the tool's longevity compared to conventional cutters of smaller sizes.

Replaceable cutter sets come in TCI and Milled Tooth styles, catering to various rock formations. Each bit features three to six cutters and offers versatility by accommodating four different hole sizes.
